Dorothy J. (Hunt) Hayes

RED LION-Dorothy J. (Hunt) Hayes, 86, passed away Sunday, May 23, 2010 in Humble, TX. She was the loving wife of the late Denzel "Cliff" C. Hayes. A graveside service will be 2:00 p.m., Thursday, June 3, 2010 at Bethel United Methodist Cemetery, Chanceford Twp, with Chaplain Wesley Mast officiating. Life Tributes by Olewiler and Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc. 35 Gotham Place, Red Lion is in charge of arrangements. Mrs. Hayes was born December 5, 1923 in Denver, CO, the daughter of the late Edward Frank and Cora Belle (Nichols) Hayes. She was a former employee of the York City School District until her retirement in 1982. Mrs. Hayes was a member of St. Paul's United Methodist Church, Red Lion. She was also a member of AARP Chapter 24. Mrs. Hayes is survived by a son, Richard "Rick" Hayes and wife Georgia of Humble, TX; two grandchildren, Dayna and Douglas Hayes; a brother, Alvin K. Hunt of Pubelo, CO; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was a loving wife, mother, sister and aunt.
