Dorothy J. "Bic" Wood

DELTA- Dorothy J. “Bic” (Braner) Wood, 81, of Delta and Clearwater, FL, passed away on Saturday, July 2, 2016 at her residence. She was the wife of Jack C. Wood. The couple celebrated their 64th wedding anniversary on September 29, 2015. Mrs. Wood was born in York on October 10, 1934, the daughter of Peter G. and Agatha H. (Leonard) Braner. She worked for over 20 years for Curtain Call in East Prospect, which became Tighe Industries in York, where she retired. Mrs. Wood enjoyed playing Bingo, travelling, Facebook, making sock monkeys, and both Elvis and Engelbert Humperdinck. Along with her husband, Mrs. Wood leaves two daughters, Tanya Ann Wood of Gulfport, FL, and Tara Lynn Calaman and her husband Walter of York; a son, Thomas C. Wood and his wife Cindy of Windsor; three grandchildren, Jennifer Reynolds, Tracy Linn, and Jason Wood; seven great grandchildren, Wade, Kirstie, Braeden, Gavin, Addison, and Mason; and nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a great grandson, Jacob, a sister, Ruth “Dolly” Olafson, and a brother, Fred Braner.
