Dorothy I. Kreitz

Williamsport - Dorothy I. (Whipple) Kreitz, 95 a former resident of Northway Road Extension, passed away Wednesday, January 9, 2008 at the Williamsport Home. She was born in Jersey Shore on June 20, 1912 the daughter of Chester A. & Anna Belle (Sunderland) Whipple. Dorothy was married to Luther P. Kreitz, Sr. who died June 2, 1978. She worked at the former Warshaw Silk Mill in Montoursville and was a cook at the former New Brass Rail. She was a member of Emmanuel Lutheran Church. Dorothy enjoyed square dancing and spending time with her family and lived life to the fullest. Surviving are one Son Luther P. "Skip" Kreitz, Jr., and his wife Barbara of Williamsport. One daughter Patricia A. Carpenter and her husband Philip of Williamsport. 7 grandchildren 18 great-grandchildren 9 great-great grandchildren One Brother Elwood Whipple and his wife Inez of Williamsport also a sister-in-law and best friend Jean Whipple of S. Williamsport. She was preceded in death by a Son Robert O. Braster a grandson Robert A. Braster and five brothers and one sister. The funeral service will be held 10:30 A.M. Saturday, January 12, 2008 at the Allen & Redmond Funeral Home, 331 Elmira St., With Rev. Roy D. Meyer officiating. Friends and relatives will be received at the funeral home one hour prior to the service. Interment will be at Twin Hills Memorial Park. The family will provide the flowers.
