Dorothy I. (Fair) Billet

YORK- Dorothy I. (Fair) Billet, 94, passed away on Thursday, July 15, 2010 at Manor Care Health Services- Dallastown. She was the loving wife of the late Edwin J. Billet. A Celebration of Life Memorial Service will be 10 a.m. on Monday, July 19, 2010 at Life Tributes by Olewiler & Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 35 Gotham Pl., Red Lion, with the Reverend Brenda M. Ritterpusch officiating. A visitation will be from 9-10 a.m. prior to the service. Mrs. Billet was born on November 17, 1915 in Spring Grove, a daughter of the late Amos B. and Grace M. (Miller) Fair. Dorothy worked as a cook for Paradise Protectory for Boys until her retirement. Mrs. Billet was a member of Advent Lutheran Church. Mrs. Billet enjoyed needlework and playing cards, particularly 500. She was also active in the Yorktown Senior Center. Mrs. Billet is survived by one daughter, Dorothy Young of York; six grandchildren, Debra Anderson and her husband, Howard P. of Ruther Glen, VA, Diane Belles and her husband, Ken of Hummelstown, Donna Weist and her husband, Phillip of York, Jeffrey Young of New York, NY, and Joann Young and her companion, Craig Kindig of York; and six great grandchildren, Scott and Erin Stoltz, Eric Belles, Brett and Rebecca Weist, and Kiersten McCleary. She was preceded in death by one grandson, James T. Young, Jr.; seven brothers and six sisters. Memorial contributions may be made to Heartland Hospice, 3417-C Concord Rd., York, PA, 17402.
