Dorothy G. (Gurr) Warner

FORT MILL, SC- Dorothy G. (Gurr) Warner, 86, died Sunday, March 13, 2011 at her daughters residence. She had been a long time Red Lion resident. She was the wife of the late Eugene W. Warner. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 10 a.m. on Friday, March 18, 2011 at Life Tributes by Olewiler & Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 35 Gotham Place in Red Lion with a viewing from 9-10 a.m. Burial will be in Susquehanna Memorial Gardens with full military honors by York County Veterans Honor Guard. Mrs. Warner was born in Waycross, GA on April 5, 1924, a daughter of the late L. Thomas and Hilda Irene (Stokes) Gurr. Mrs. Warner was a member of Red Lion American Legion. She enjoyed cooking, gardening and flowers. She was a US Navy Veteran who served in WWII. Mrs. Warner leaves two daughters, Pamela Jo Aungst of York and Jan Elizabeth Brown of Ft. Mill, SC, four grandchildren, ten great grandchildren, five great, great grandchildren, and two sisters, Doris Edwards of Lantana, FL and Junita Lundy of Oklahoma.
