MILTON - Dorothy E. "Dot" (Ward) Blanding, 77, died peacefully at her home on Wednesday, May 09, 2007. Dorothy was born on March 01, 1930, in Milton, a daughter of the late Reverend Mervin and Lucille (Williams) Ward. She was a graduate of Milton High School, and was employed with Reeds Cleaners in the 1960's. Dorothy next took employment with American Home Foods as the secretary, and she handed out payroll for over twenty years, retiring in 1996. Dorothy was famous for her apple pie, and her love of bingo. She was also an avid New York Yankees fan. Dot is survived by her daughter and son-in-law Marie L. & Kevin Confer of Milton. She is also survived by her brothers and sisters-in-law James & Michelle Ward of Milton and Richard & Thelma Ward of Southfield, MI, and her sisters & brother-in-law Rebekah & Henry Mitchell of Milton and Charlotte Garrison of Philadelphia, as well as many nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, she was also preceded in death by her brother Archie Thompson. Family and friends were received at the viewing from 7:00 - 9:00 PM, on Sunday, May 13, 2007 and on Monday, May 14, 2007 from 10:00 - 11:00 AM at the Revival Tabernacle, Old Highway 15, West Milton. The funeral service was at 11:00 AM, on Monday, at the tabernacle with the Reverend James R. Bond officiating. Burial was in the Harmony Cemetery, Milton. Arrangements by the Dale E. Ranck Funeral Service, Inc., 125 North Front Street, Milton, PA 17847.
