Dorothy E. (Fyler) Myers

York—Dorothy E. (Fyler) Myers, 87, died Sunday, January 26, 2014 at her residence in York City. She was the wife of the late Taylor M. Myers, Jr. A Celebration of Life Service will be held 1:30 PM, Wednesday, January 29, 2014 at Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 1551 Kenneth Rd, York with the Rev. Richard B. Starr officiating. A viewing will be held from 12:30-1:30 PM, Wednesday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Prospect Hill Cemetery. Born March 8, 1926 in Platte, S. Dakota, she was a daughter of the late Hilda E. (Van-de-Voort) Fyler. She was a loving and dedicated homemaker and was also employed with Hershey Five & Dime as a sales clerk. Mrs. Myers is survived by three daughters, Cynthia L. Hunter and husband, Danny of New London, NC, Ruth Ann Strine and husband, Larry of Brimfield, CT and Beverly J. Myers of York; one son, Douglas R. Myers of York; 10 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren and nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by two sons, Arnold and Bruce Myers; great grandson, Steven Myers; sister, Gladys Turner; brother, Lyle Fyler In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Lutheran Home Care & Hospice, 1651-A, Mt.
