RED LION - Dorothy 'Dottie' M. (Scott) Shuster, 71, passed away Thursday, October 10, 2013 at York Hospital. She was the wife of the late Leonard Shuster, Jr., who passed away on April 18, 2011. The couple wed on September 15, 1962. A celebration of life service will be 11 a.m. Tuesday, October 15, 2013 at Bethlehem United Methodist Church, 109 E. Main St., Dallastown, with her pastors, the Reverend Roger H. Mentzer and the Reverend Dr. Carl B. Rife officiating. A viewing will be held from 10-11 a.m. prior to the service. Burial will be in Susquehanna Memorial Gardens. Life Tributes by Olewiler & Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 35 Gotham Pl., Red Lion is in charge of arrangements. Born May 21, 1942 in Philadelphia, she was the daughter of the late Samuel J. and Dorothy J. (Kline) Scott. Dorothy was a 1960 graduate of Jules E. Mastbaum High School in Philadelphia. Over the years, she held a number of positions at Sears, most recently, a training coordinator until her retirement in the late 1990’s. Mrs. Shuster was a member of Bethlehem United Methodist Church in Dallastown where she sang in the choir and was a member of the administrative council. She was also a member of the Dallastown Golden Age Club and sang in the chorus, a member of the Red Hat Society and helped served lunch at Our Daily Bread. Mrs. Shuster is survived by two sons, Scott A Shuster and his companion, Anne Jackson of Lutherville, MD and Richard B. Shuster and his wife, Terry of Dallastown; one daughter, Cynthia Ann Lentz and her husband, A. David of York; three grandchildren, Adam Lentz, Evan Lentz and Meagan Shuster; two step grandchildren, Shelby McAfee and Bethany Blevins; and a nephew, Eric Neumuller. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Bethlehem United Methodist Church Care Fund, 109 E. Main St., Dallastown, PA 17313.
