Dorothy (Brown) Williams

WILKES-BARRE-Dorothy Williams, 76, of Wilkes-Barre, passed away Thursday, October 11, 2012 at Wilkes-Barre General Hospital. Born in Wilkes-Barre on July 22, 1936, she was a daughter of the late Noah and Dorothy (Andreas) Brown. She was a graduate of G.A.R. High School. She previously owned the Ceramic Boutique on McLean Street, Wilkes-Barre and was a former member of Eastern Star. Dorothy had many hobbies including drawing, painting ceramics, cooking and loved animals. She was an avid reader. Dorothy was preceded in death by her husband, Nathan K. Williams, with whom she shared 59 years full of love. He passed away on July 26, 2012. She was also preceded in death by her twin sons, Mark and Matthew; great-grandson Aiden Jacobs and a sister, Barbara McNeely. Surviving are her sons Nathan “Jeff” Williams and his companion Craig White, Hughestown; Gary S. Williams and his companion Georgia Straub, Wilkes-Barre; daughters Donna Innocenti, at home; Rachel Appel and her husband Brian, Pittston; grandchildren Lacie, Chris, Michael, Kyle and Kendra; great-grandchildren Liam, Jarrod, Shaylee, Ryan and Jace. Funeral Services will be held Friday at 11 a.m. at Kniffen O’Malley Funeral Home, Inc., 465 S. Main Street, Wilkes-Barre. The Reverend Carol E. Coleman will officiate. Interment will follow in Memorial Shrine Cemetery. Friends may call Friday morning from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to the S.P.C.A. of Luzerne County, 524 E. Main Street, Wilkes-Barre, PA 18702.
