Dorothy A. (Swords) Smith

RED LION- Dorothy A. (Swords) Smith, 74, died on Thursday, February 16, 2023 at York Hospital. She was the wife of the late Clyde C. Smith. The couple had been married for 38 years.

Services are private at the convenience of the family. Olewiler & Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 35 Gotham Pl., Red Lion is in charge of arrangements.

Born on November 21, 1948 in Jacobus, she was a daughter of the late Clarence and Hilda (Kyle) Swords. Dorothy was a finisher for Rojahn Custom Cabinetry until her retirement.

Mrs. Smith enjoyed crafts and loved her dogs.

Dorothy is survived by her daughter, Tammy Snyder and her husband, Darryl of Red Lion; son, Timothy Smith and his wife, Jennifer of Red Lion; sister, Ethel Hartman and her husband, Bobby of Felton; and brother, Bill Swords and his wife, Connie of Austin, PA. She was preceded in death by her sister, Geraldine Winters; and two brothers, Sam Swords and Wayne Swords.
