Dorothy A. (Shedlock) Hays

PARLIN, NEW JERSEY-Dorothy A. Shedlock Hays, 50, of the Parlin section of Sayreville, New Jersey, passed away on Tuesday, December 16, 2008, at her home. Born in Wilkes-Barre, she was the daughter of Andrew and Beverly (Lewis) Shedlock, of Parlin, New Jersey. She has resided in Sayreville since 1961. Dorothy was employed as a bus driver for Werhles Bus Company in Cliffwood Beach, New Jersey, and prior to that at C-Way Bus Company. She was the past president of the Sayreville AA Ladies Auxiliary for many years and was active in the concession fund raising. She is predeceased by her sister, Cindy Shedlock, who passed away in 1975. In addition to her parents, she is survived by her sons, Kenneth Hays and his wife, Erin, Sayreville, NJ; Dustin Karns, Parlin, NJ; brothers Andrew Shedlock, Herndon, VA; Dennis Shedlock and his wife, Debra, Parlin, NJ; niece Heather and nephew Jeremy Shedlock. The funeral service will be held Monday at 11:00 a.m. at the Kniffen O'Malley Funeral Home, Inc., 465 South Main Street, Wilkes-Barre. Interment will follow in Idetown Cemetery, Lehman Township.
