Dorothy A. Hoffman

ORWIGSBURG- Dorothy A. “Dotty” (Palmer) Hoffman, 73, of Orwigsburg, passed away peacefully Sunday evening , July 21, 2013 at Orwigsburg Center, Orwigsburg. Born on September 4, 1939 in Schuylkill Haven, she was a daughter of the late Harold and Elizabeth (Paul) Palmer. Dotty married Ray R. Hoffman on October 27, 1956 and they shared 56 years together. She was employed by Kepner & Scott Shoe Factory, Orwigsburg before her retirement. Dotty was a member of Salem United Methodist Church, Orwigsburg. She loved to read and enjoyed traveling. Left to honor her memory is husband of 56 years, Ray R. Hoffman, Orwigsburg; daughters, Susan Morgan, Schnecksville and Betsy Green, New Tripoli,; grandchildren, Alexander and Shannon; sisters, June Flynn, Jeffersonville, Elizabeth “Betty” Eifert, Schuylkill Haven, and Mary “Maggie” Zettlemoyer, Harrisburg; and numerous nieces and nephews.
