Dorothea E. Anderson

YORK- Dorothea E. (Reisinger) Anderson, 81, passed away Saturday, July 15, 2017 at York Hospital. She was the wife of the late Earl Anderson. A celebration of life service will be held at 10 a.m. on Thursday, July 20, 2017 at Life Tributes by Olewiler & Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 35 Gotham Place in Red Lion. Viewings will be held from 6-8 p.m. on Wednesday and 9-10 a.m. on Thursday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Susquehanna Memorial Gardens in York with full military honors by York County Veterans Honor Guard. Mrs. Anderson was born in Dallastown on July 19, 1935, the daughter of the late Paul V. and Merian E. (Garber) Reisinger. She retired in 1998 from Giant where she was a cashier. Mrs. Anderson was a former officer at Red Lion American Legion. She was also formerly a member of, York Area Bird Club, York Area Visitors Association, and York County Emergency Management Team. She served in the US Air Force during the Korean War. Mrs. Anderson leaves four sons, Steven E. Anderson and his wife Connie, Gregory E. Anderson and his wife Kimberly A., Eric A. Anderson and his wife Kimberly S., and Kevin M. Anderson and his wife Joan; seven grandchildren; three great grandchildren, with one expected; a brother, David Reisinger; and nieces and nephews.
