Doris F. (Brenneman) Riese

YORK- Doris F. (Brenneman) Riese, 91, died on Tuesday, March 18, 2025 at The Residence at Fitz Farm. She was the wife of the late Richard H. Riese who died on April 18, 2023. The couple had been married 68 years.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, March 24, 2025 at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, 25 W. Springettsbury Ave., York, PA 17408 with the Reverend Stanley D. Reep officiating. A visitation will be from 10-11 a.m. prior to the service. Burial will be in Mt. Rose Cemetery. Olewiler & Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 35 Gotham Pl., Red Lion is in charge of arrangements.

Born on May 18, 1933 in Mt. Wolf, she was a daughter of the late Edward and Savinah (Druck) Brenneman). Doris worked in the accounting department at Wolf Management Services until her retirement in 1999.

Mrs. Riese was a member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church. She enjoyed vacations at the beach, reading and playing in her card club. Most importantly, she loved spending time with her grandchildren.

Mrs. Riese is survived by her son, Jeffrey Riese and his wife, Rose of Red Lion; daughter, Kathy Wills and her husband, George of Dallastown; five grandchildren; and six great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her two sisters, Romaine Stermer and Anna Mae Myers.
