Doris Marie Geiser

Doris Marie (Altland) Geiser, 68, of Chanceford Twp., died at 3:59 p.m. Sunday, October 14, 2018 at the York Hospital. She was the loving wife of Carl E. Geiser with whom she celebrated a 50th wedding anniversary on April 1, 2018. Private services will be held at the convenience of the family. Olewiler & Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Red Lion is in charge of arrangements. Memorial contributions may be made to a charity of your choice. Mrs. Geiser was born December 11, 1949, in York. She was the daughter of the late John and Margie (Richcreek) Altland. She was a Floor Manager at the Salvation Army store in York for the past ten years. She enjoyed life spending much of her time gardening, tending her fish ponds and playing bingo, but most of all, she enjoyed the time she spent with her family. In addition to her husband, Carl, a Caterpillar retiree; Mrs. Geiser also leaves her son, Carl E. Geiser, Jr. and wife, Kelly Kinard of Windsor; her daughter, Wendy Brashears and husband, Charles of York; her grandchildren, Charlie Swalm, Crystal Steinbrecher, Myranda Inlow and Jaclyn Brashears, all of York and Amanda Sutton of Chesapeake, VA; seven great grandchildren; and her sister, Pat Friedman and husband, Glenn of York. She was preceded in death by her two brothers, Rich and Donnie Altland.
