FELTON- Doris Marie (Barnett) Eppley, 69, died at her home early Friday morning, January 11, 2008. She was the wife of the late Raymond E. Eppley. A funeral service will be 11 a.m. Wednesday, January 16, 2008 at Life Tributes by Olewiler & Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 35 Gotham Pl., Red Lion, with the Rev. Ronald S. French officiating. Viewings will be 6 to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday and 10 to 11:00 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery, Stewartstown. Mrs. Eppley was born November 12, 1938 in Collinsville, a daughter of the late Jesse M. and Annie E. (Kilgore) Eppley. She is a graduate of Kennard-Dale High School, class of 1956. She married Raymond E. Eppley on December 21, 1957. Mrs. Eppley was employed for 46 years a seamstress in various factories in Red Lion and Stewartstown. Most notably, she was employed with Zero Restriction in Hellam. She was a member of St. Paul's Mt. Pleasant Lutheran Church and also attended Winterstown United Methodist Church. Mrs. Eppley was a proud member of the Red Lion Ambulance Association and North Hopewell Twp. Fire Co. She was on the Board of Elections for 34 years for North Hopewell Twp. She was a member of AARP and enjoyed going to the Red Lion Seniors Center. Mrs. Eppley was an avid teddy bear collector. Surviving are her two sisters, Helen E. Gemmill and Reba M. and her husband, Preston Gemmill, all of Stewartstown; several nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews; two god children, Mindy and Mark Eveler; and two god grandchildren, Brooke and Derek Eveler, all of Felton. A sister, Evelyn L. Lutz and a brother, James E. Barnett preceded her in death.
