Doris Mae (Snyder) Axe

RED LION- Doris Mae (Snyder) Axe, 85, passed away Saturday, September 19, 2015 at ManorCare Health Services- Dallastown. She was the wife of the late Glenn C. Axe, to whom she was married 45 years before his passing in 1998. A Celebration of Life tribute service will be held at 10 AM on Wednesday, September 23, 2015 at Life Tributes by Olewiler & Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 35 Gotham Place, Red Lion, with her Pastor, The Reverend Steven Schmuck officiating. A visitation will be held from 9-10 AM prior to the service. Burial will be in Red Lion Cemetery. Born April 13, 1930 in Red Lion, Doris was the daughter of the late Harry F. and Cora Elizabeth (Keller) Snyder. She was a 1949 graduate from Red Lion High School. Mrs. Axe was a member of the Red Lion Bible Church. Doris was a happy housewife and loving mother and grandmother who enjoyed taking care of her family and spending time with them. Mrs. Axe is survived by three sons, Michael L. Axe and his wife Shirley of Red Lion, Randy L. Axe of Red Lion and Eric G. Axe and his wife Mardella of Red Lion; a daughter, Joyce Shaull of Windsor; ten grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.
