Doris M. (Powley) Heffner

WINDSOR - Doris M. (Powley) Heffner, 85, passed away Saturday, May 30, 2009 at her residence. She was the wife of the late Eugene C. Heffner. A graveside tribute service will be held at 10:00 AM Wednesday, June 3, 2009 in Salem Community Cemetery. Life Tributes by Olewiler & Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 35 Gotham Place, Red Lion is in charge of arrangements. Born January 24, 1924 in Norwich, England; a daughter of the late Arthur E. and Lucy C. Powley, she worked as a seamstress for Little Prince Sewing Factory in Windsor. She was a member of Hellam VFW, Ladies Auxiliary and was active with her seamstress Union. Mrs. Heffner will be remembered as a devoted and loving mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. Mrs. Heffner is survived by two sons, Dennis E. and wife Beth Heffner and Bryan D. Heffner both of Windsor; two grandchildren, Todd and Christopher Heffner; and four great grandchildren.
