Doris M. (Leiphart) Kornbau

RED LION - Doris Marie (Leiphart) Kornbau, 80, of Lower Windsor Township, passed away February 12, 2022 at York Hospital. She was the loving wife of the late Elmer L. Kornbau to whom she was married for 41 years. A Celebration of Life Service will be held Monday, February 21, 2022 at 10:00 AM at Olewiler and Heffner Funeral Chapel and Crematory, Inc. 35 Gotham Place in Red Lion with Pastor Stephanie Sechrist officiating. A viewing will be held from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM. Born March 30, 1941 in Hallam, she was a daughter of the late Clarence and Blanche (Ruppert) Leiphart. Doris was loving and kind, and loved to help anyone she could. She would often be found at carnivals, church picnics, and spending time with her family. Mrs. Kornbau worked at Danskin for a while before she started working in the Dietary for York College. Mrs. Kornbau took an early retirement from York College in order to care for her parents. Mrs. Kornbau is survived by two sons; Stanley Kornbau (Bonnie) of Dover, and Randy Kornbau (Tanya) of York; a brother, James Leiphart (Audrey); four sisters, Linda Hollinger (Mark), Pat Michael (Boyd), Mildred Oreman, and Judy Ross (Donald); along with many nieces and nephews.
