YORK—Doris Mae Jonosky, beloved wife, mother and grandmother passed away Tuesday, November 15, 2022 at the age of 93. She was surrounded by the treasures of her life, her husband of 73 years, her children and grandchildren. Doris was born in Connecticut, graduated from Stamford High School and worked as a billing clerk for Yale in Town Company. Doris married her one and only love, Gene on September 10, 1949 at the Springdale Methodist Church in Springdale, Connecticut.
Doris is survived by her husband, Eugene Jonosky and two children, a daughter, Carol Clinton and her husband, Jeffrey and a son, Wayne Jonosky and his wife, Lulis. Doris is also survived by a granddaughter, Carrie (Clinton) Olszyk and grandson, Andrew Clinton and his husband, James McAuley. Doris adored her children and grandchildren. They were the loves of her life.
One of six children, she is survived by her sister, Elizabeth Kent and brother, William Pregler and his wife, Dortha.
She was an active member of Eastminster Presbyterian Church, having served on many activity committees in the church such as, vacation bible school, retired lunches, picnics and funeral receptions. She was also a member of the AARP Chapter #3400.
A Celebration of Life Service will be 2:00PM Saturday, November 26, 2022 at Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 1551 Kenneth Rd, York. Officiating the service will be Certified Celebrant Allison R. Duke. Burial will be held at the convenience of the family.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to, York County Food Bank, 254 W. Princess St., York, PA 17401.
