Doris M. (Costa) Fisher

YORK - Doris M. (Costa) Fisher, 79, entered heaven’s gates on Tuesday, July 1, 2014 at 6:39 PM at York Hospital. She was the companion of the late John Swords, whom she was with for 25 years. She was the wife of the late Glenn A. Fisher to whom she was married for 31 years. A Celebration of Life tribute service will be held Saturday, July 5, 2014 at 9 AM at Life Tributes by Olewiler & Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 35 Gotham Place, Red Lion. A viewing will be held from 8-9 AM prior to the service. Burial will be in Susquehanna Memorial Gardens. Born May 2, 1935 in Phoenix, Maryland, Doris was a daughter of the late Joseph and Emma Mae (Agee) Costa. Doris was a homemaker who loved children and watching cooking shows. Mrs. Fisher is survived by two daughters, Glenda Perry and her husband Michael of East Prospect and Brenda Clinton and her husband Richard of Windsor; seven grandchildren; one great granddaughter; a twin brother, Morris Costa and his wife Ruth of Plant City, FL; two sisters, Mary Mays of New Freedom and Ester Dill of Shrewsbury; and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, husband and companion, she was preceded in death by three brothers, Robert Costa, Charles Costa and Steven Costa and a sister, Lillian Boyd.
