ETTERS- Doris Louise (Mitzel) Grumley, 71, died on Friday, December 25, 2009 at her residence. She was the loving wife of the late James W. Grumley III. A Celebration of Life Service will be 6 p.m. on Saturday January 2, 2009 at Beaver Urich Funeral Home, Inc, 305 W. Front Street, Lewisberry, with the Rev. Ron Bowersox, of Lewisberry United Methodist Church in Lewisberry, officiating. A viewing will be held from 5 to 6 p.m., Saturday, at the funeral home. Burial will be private. Born February 11, 1938 in York, she was a daughter of the late William D. and Nora (Groscost) Mitzel. She was employed as a cook at various local restaurants for many years. She enjoyed bingo, going to the casino, and taking walks. Mrs. Grumley is survived by one son, Kenneth E. Grumley of Idaho, four daughters, Kimberly A. Moore of Alabama, Pamela K. Grumley of Etters, Sherri L. McKelvey, Dover and Tammy M. Mitzel of Wrightsville, 9 grandchildren, 1 great grandchild, three brothers, William, Ronald and Pierre, four sisters, Barbara, Arlene, Gloria and Ruth, and nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by one son, James M. "Mike" Grumley and 3 brothers, Kenneth, Paul and Michael. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude's Children's Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
