Doris L. Williams

DOVER—Doris L. (Markel) Williams, 92, passed away Monday, November 20, 2023 at Pleasant Acres Nursing Center. She was the wife of Donald Williams to whom she was married for 50 years.

A Celebration of Life Service will be private at the convenience of the family. Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 1551 Kenneth Rd, York, is in charge of arrangements.

Born October 1, 1931 in York, she was the daughter of the late Richard L. and Beulah E. (Slenker) Markel.

She was employed with Danskin for numerous years as a seamer.

A past member of the Shiloh American Legion Ladies Auxiliary, she was a kind and loving person who will be greatly missed.

In addition to her husband, Mrs. Williams is also survived by two sons, Jeff and Rick; six grandchildren; one sister, Pat Rice and nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by one step sister, Dottie Stottlemyer and one step brother, Robert Stambaugh.
