RED LION- Doris L. Raab, 84, of Windsor Twp., died Friday, September 2, 2011 at her residence, while under hospice care. She went home to the Lord’s home. Doris was a faithful Christian. She was the wife of the late Walter F. Raab, who passed away in 2000. The couple had wed on April 24, 1948. They were happily married for 52 years. A celebration of life tribute service will be 12 noon on Saturday, September 17, 2011 at Life Tributes by Olewiler & Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 35 Gotham Pl., Red Lion with the Reverend Kevin P. Kreutzer officiating. Charles M. Snyder will interpret. A viewing will be from 10 a.m. -12 p.m. prior to the service. Burial will be in Susquehanna Memorial Gardens. Doris was born on December 2, 1926 in York, a daughter of the late Charles Isaac and Goldie Jane (Anderson) Wagner. She was a 1946 graduate of the Pennsylvania School for the Deaf in Philadelphia. She was a member of the Pennsylvania Society of Advancement of the Deaf, York Association of the Deaf and the Keystone Central Deaf Senior Citizens. Doris enjoyed crocheting, knitting, shell crocheting, and canvas needlework. Doris is survived by two daughters, Mary L. Raab of Red Lion and Goldie Jane (Raab) Bouder and her husband, Kenneth Sr. of York; a grandson, Kenneth E. Bouder, Jr.; four great grandchildren, Shane Bouder, Joshua Bouder, Ashley Bouder and Maureen Bouder; a sister, Mildred E. (Wagner) Smeltzer, who died June 23, 1985; a niece, Jane E. Looks of York; five great nephews and a niece, Dennis Smith, Timothy Smith, Charles Looks,Todd Looks and Melissa Looks; and great great nephews and nieces: a nephew, Charles E. “Chuck” Smeltzer III who died in 1970; a brother, Charles E. “Ducky” Wagner who died September 24, 1999.
