Doris L. (Kline) Turner

WELLSBURG- Doris L. (Kline) Turner, 93, of Lowman, NY, passed away on Monday, July 11, 2011 at Elderwood in Waverly, NY. She was the loving wife of the late Lester M. Turner who passed away on October 25, 1997. The couple married April 6, 1941 and had 56 happy years together. Doris was born on November 30, 1917 in Sayre, PA, daughter of the late Peter and Loretta (Redman) Kline. She was a graduate of Athens High School and was Christian by faith. She was a homemaker and helped on the family farm. Doris enjoyed embroidering, crafts, doing search-a-word puzzles, and reading. Doris is survived by her daughters: Karen Hilliard of Gainesville FL, and Marsha Turner of Lowman, NY, her sister Eleanor (Wendell) Chubb of Troy, PA, and several nieces and nephews. Doris was preceded by her parents, her husband Lester, her son Keith L. Turner, her two brothers: Chester and Norman Kline, and her half-sister Ellen Strunk. Family and friends are welcome to call from 10:00-11:00 AM on Monday July 18, 2011 at the Roberts Funeral Home, Inc. 279 Main Street Wellsburg, NY. The memorial service to honor Doris’ life will be held at 11:00 AM on July 18th at the funeral home with Rev. Randy Stilson of Chemung Christian Fellowship officiating.
