Doris L. (Ellwein) Senft

GETTYSBURG – Doris L. (Ellwein) Senft, 91, formerly of York, passed away Monday, September 7, 2015 at Transitions Healthcare in Gettysburg. She was the wife of Randolph Howard with whom she was married for nine years and the late Kenneth L. Senft, Sr. who she shared 62 years of marriage. A celebration of life tribute service will be held at 10:00 AM Saturday, September 12, 2015 at Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 1551 Kenneth Road, York with Pastor Elmer Speer officiating. A viewing will be held from 9-10:00 AM Saturday at the Funeral Chapel. Burial will be in Susquehanna Memorial Gardens with a military flag folding detail provided by York County Veterans Honor Guard. Born April 14, 1924 in Wrightsville, a daughter of the late Ralph and Mary (Campbell) Ellwein, she retired from York Lutheran Home in 1981and had been a member of York Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks. Mrs. Senft was a US Navy Veteran of WWII. Mrs. Senft is survived by a son, Kenneth L. Senft, Jr. of Surprise, AZ; three grandchildren, Sean M. Senft and his companion Michele Blouse of Chesapeake Beach, MD, Kenneth W. Senft and his wife Adria of Middletown, and Eden and her husband Lucas Paulazzo of Jacksonville, OR; six great grandchildren, Ashley, Zane, and Cohen Senft, and Tavi, Zemirah, and Addis Paulazzo; one brother, Edward Ellwein of Manchester.
