Doris L. Cooper

Wellsburg, New York, Doris L. Cooper, age 58, of Monkey Run Road Gillett, PA passed away Monday, November 6, 2007 at Roswell Park Cancer Institute, Buffalo, NY following a brief illness. Doris was born September 25, 1949 in Columbia Cross Roads the daughter of the late Kenneth and Margaret LaMont Clark. She was a graduate of Troy High School and was employed a substitute rural carrier by the United State Post Office in Gillett. PA. Her memberships included the Troy American Legion Auxiliary, Pennsylvania State Bowling Association and she was the Secretary for the Letter Carriers Union. Survivors include her loving husband Ronald Cooper of Gillett, PA a son Kevin Patterson of Addison, NY, daughters Karen (Patterson) Hoover and her companion Miles Clark of Jamestown, NY, Karla and Ernest "Gordy" Davenport of Wellsville, NY, Krista (Patterson) and Rick Abshure of Fuquay Varina, NC, nine grandchildren, two brothers, two sisters and several nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and neighbors. Family and friends are invited to call Friday, November 9, 2007 from 4 to 6 PM and then again from 11 to 1PM Saturday, November 10, 2007 at the Roberts Funeral Home, Inc. 279 Main Street, Wellsburg, NY. Doris's funeral and committal service will be held at the conclusion of calling hours at 1 PM with Reverend George Herrick officiating. Entombment will be in Bentley Creek Cemetery.
