TROY - Doris K. (Kittle) McClure, Age 90 formerly of Troy, PA passed away Sunday, May 16, 2010 at the Bradford County Manor. Doris was born December 1, 1919 in Granville Summit, PA daughter of the late George and Ruby (Phillips) Kittle. She was a graduate of Troy High School and was employed in the office at McClure Motors in Troy and was a devoted mother and homemaker. She and the late Alfred W. McClure were married June 12, 1937. Doris was a member of the Troy First United Methodist Church, United Methodist Women, Thursday Study Club, Stone Croft Ministries Bible Study, Alter Guild, Troy Senior Citizens and Troy Lion Ladies. She dedicated herself to decorating the United Methodist Church for all seasons. Doris also learned to type and read Braille, she volunteered at Martha Lloyd Community helping blind student with Braille. Her other interests included reading, crafting, sewing and quilting. She will be greatly missed by her loving family. Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Marla & Terry West of Granville Summit, PA, sons and daughter-in-law, Raymond & Julie McClure of Troy, PA and Ronald McClure of Columbia Cross Roads, PA, a sister, Fannie Ingerick of McPherson, KS, ten grandchildren, eighteen great-grandchildren, several nieces, nephews and cousins. Doris was predeceased by her parents, her loving husband Alfred W. McClure, three sisters, Millicent Burnham, Marjorie Rumsey, Jean Kennedy and a brother, Ward Kittle. Family and friends are invited to call from 1 to 2 PM Friday, May 21, 2010 at the Gerald W. Vickery, Jr. Funeral Home, Inc. 110 West Main Street, Troy, PA. Her service will be held at the conclusion of calling hours at 2 PM with Reverend Garry Zuber officiating. Interment will follow in Glenwood Cemetery.
