Doris K. Weber

YORK – Doris K. (Radel) Weber, 92, passed away Sunday, December 11, 2022 at UPMC Memorial Hospital. She was the wife of Nicholas L. Weber with whom she celebrated 70 years of marriage on June 28th.

A Celebration of Life Tribute service will be held at 12:00 Noon on Wednesday, December 14, 2022 at St. John Evangelical Lutheran Church, 2580 Mt. Rose Avenue, York with her Pastor, The Rev. Tab Cosgrove officiating. A visitation will be held from 11-12:00 Noon Wednesday at the Church. Burial will be in Mt. Zion Cemetery. Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 1551 Kenneth Road, York is in charge of arrangements.

Born February 3, 1930 in Harrisburg, a daughter of the late Harry W. and Lena C. (Miller) Radel; she retired from the Social Security Administration. Mrs. Weber was a member of St. John Evangelical Lutheran Church where she enjoyed volunteering at the Compassion Center. She also volunteered with York County Agency on Aging and loved going to auctions. Along with her husband, Mrs. Weber was an avid camper with National Camping Travelers and Tall Cedars Camping Group. Their travels took them to every US State and to Germany.

In addition to her husband, Mrs. Weber is survived by a son, Mark E. and wife Janice Weber of Ellijay, GA; a daughter, Kathleen L. and husband Gregory L. Gable of York; two grandsons, Cody and Connor Gable; two brothers, Harry Radel of Harrisburg and Richard Radel of Dillsburg; and a sister, Grace Wilson of Harrisburg. She was preceded in death by two sisters, Marie Farner and L. Caroline Radel.
