JACOBUS- Doris J. (Mummert) Stump, 57, entered into Heaven with her savior on Monday, March 24, 2014 at 12:55 a.m. at York Hospital. She was the wife of Mike L. Stump. The couple celebrated their 36th wedding anniversary on February 11th. A celebration of life tribute service will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, March 29, 2014 at St. Peter’s Church, 1708 Seitzville Rd., Seven Valleys with the Reverend Chris Lofquist and the Reverend Don Clark, both of New Hope Bible Church, officiating. Viewings will be from 6 to 8 p.m. on Friday at Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 1551 Kenneth Rd., York and from 10 to 11 a.m. on Saturday at St. Peter’s Church. Born on October 20, 1956 in York, she was the daughter of Anna (Kessler) Mummert and the late Ralph Mummert. Mrs. Stump attended the Community College of Baltimore for three years. Doris worked as a Dental Hygienist for Dr. John M. Bush, DDS for over 30 years. Mrs. Stump was an active member of New Hope Bible Church. Doris loved crafts, collecting and selling antiques and traveling. She especially enjoyed her missionary trip to the Dominican Republic. Along with her husband, Mike, Doris is survived by one son, Bradley Stump of Loganville; father in law, Max Stump of Jacobus and Spencerville, IN; sister in law, Michelle Wenkheimer and her husband, Jim of Spencerville, IN; and several cousins. She was preceded in death by her mother in law, Maurita Stump. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to The Cercadillo Project at www.cercadillo.org
