Doris J. Dremel

NORTH BEND, PA - Doris J. Dremel, age 77, died at her home with her children on Friday, Feb. 2, 2007. She was born in Renovo on April 22, 1929, daughter of the late Margery Brown. She married Frank Dremel on Jan. 30, 1952 in Renovo and they celebrated 54 years of marriage together. She was a graduate of Renovo High School and a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church. Doris retired from Bucktail Medical Center in 1991 from the dietary department and, in her earlier years, she was employed as a telephone operator for the Bell Telephone Co. Her life work and greatest joy was making a home for her husband, children, and grandchildren. She treasured four years spent with her little dog Winston—her "trusting friend." Sadly, she lost her husband "Freddy" in July 2006. Surviving are her sons: John (Vickie) Dremel of Collinsville, Virginia and James (Bonnie) Dremel of Hyner, daughters: Anne (Steve) Lehman of Cogan Station, Terri Dremel of S. Renovo, and Lori Dremel at home. Also surviving are seven grandchildren: Adam, Alyse, Jaime, Shay, Matthew, Jennie, and Jodie. She awaited the birth of a great grandchild in the spring. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her mother, Margery Brown, her grandparents, Minnie and George Brown, and one brother: Brown J. Kepler. Private family funeral services will be held at the convenience of the family with Fr. Donald Boslett officiating. There will be no public visitation. Interment will take place in St. Joseph Cemetery in Hyner. Maxwell Funeral Home of Renovo is in charge of the arrangements.
