Doris I. (Rawheiser) Posey

New Bridgeville Doris Irene (Rawheiser) Posey, 75, died at 8:20 a.m. Monday, April 16, 2007, at her home. She was the wife of Paul William Posey, with whom she celebrated a 57th wedding anniversary on June 25th. A Celebration of Life Service will be 2 p.m. Sunday at Life Tributes by Olewiler & Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 35 Gotham Place, Red Lion with her pastor, the Rev. Patricia C. Bollinger and family friend, the Rev. Jane Harrison, pastor of Fawn United Methodist Church, officiating. Burial will be in Shenbergers Chapel Cemetery. Visitation will be 1 to 2 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. Mrs. Posey was born December 14, 1931, in New Bridgeville, the daughter of the late Sterling F. and Mary E. (Smeltzer) Rawheiser. She was a cook with the Red Lion Area School District from 1966 until her retirement in 1992. She was a long time member of Shenbergers Chapel United Methodist Church and was a volunteer at many of the church social events. She was also an avid collector. In addition to her husband, Mrs. Posey leaves her daughter, Lynne Ann Beeson of Harrisburg; and a sister, Evelyn Kauffman of New Bridgeville.
