Doris E. Jones

Renovo - Doris E. Jones, 84 died Thursday, March 12, 2009 at the Gatehouse. She was born September 9, 1924 in Renovo the daughter of Thomas and Genevieve (Barbarch) Renehan. Doris was married on July 21, 1945 to Harold A. "Art" Jones who died May 9, 1997. She was a member of St. Joseph Church, Catholic Daughters of America, Red Hat Society, American Legion Ladies Auxiliary, Senior Moments, Renovo Women's Club. She enjoyed crossword puzzles and writing poetry. Surviving are her daughter Susan J. (Harry) Mills of Clearville, PA three granddaughters Heather Treece, Lauren Mills and Jenna Dadetto and three great-grandchildren. She is also survived by a sister Rosemary Dascanio of Atlantic Beach, FL A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 11:00 A.M. Tuesday, March 17, 2009 at St. Joseph Church, 925 Huron Ave., with Rev. Richard Tomkosky officiating. Friends and relatives will be received from 6:00 - 8:00 P.M. Monday at the Maxwell Funeral Home, 205 Fifth Street Renovo. Interment will be at St. Joseph Cemetery, Hyner. Memorial contributions can be made to St. Joseph Church in her memory.
