Doris E. (Dullen) Shade

Doris E. (Dullen) Shade, 85 a former resident of Castanea died Monday, Nov., 15, 2010 at Susque-View Home. She was born November 20, 1924 in Lock Haven the daughter of Thomas and Carrie (Spong) Dullen. Doris was married to Fred D. Shade who died in 1981. She worked in housekeeping at Lock Haven Hospital retiring in 1984 after several years. Doris was an avid bingo player. She is survived by two sons Richard Shade of Lock Haven and Gene (Sue) Shade of Castanea. Four daughters Vivian Heaton, Darla Cummings, Darlene (Robert) Benfield all of Lock Haven and Anna (Irvin Jr.) Bowmaster of Castanea 19 grandchildren several great-grandchildren and great-greandchildren One brother Earl Dullen of Jersey Shore and two sisters Gladys Streck of Lock Haven and Nora Kramer of Mill Hall. The funeral service will be held 1:30 P.M., Friday, November 19, 2010 at the Helt Funeral Chapel, 232 Hogan Blvd., Mill Hall with Major Margaret Johnson officiating. Friends and relatives will be received at the funeral chapel one hour prior to the service. Interment will be at Sunnyside Cemetery, Bald Eagle Twp. Cemetery: Sunnyside Cemetery, Bald Eagle Twp. Visitation: One hour prior to the service. Service: Friday, Nov., 19, 2010 at 1:30 P.M., Helt Funeral Chapel, Mill Hall.
