Doris A. Wilson

YORK-Doris A. (French) Wilson, 91, of West Manchester Twp., passed away Sunday, January 13, 2019 at York Hospital. A celebration of life service will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Thursday, January 17, 2019 at Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 1551 Kenneth Rd. in York, with a visitation from 1-1:30 p.m. Certified Celebrant Betty Frey will be officiating at the service. Burial will be in Prospect Hill Cemetery. Doris was born in York on August 25, 1927, a daughter of the late Oliver F. and Marie A. (Hoecke) French. She worked for the former Bear’s Department Store and retired from the former Simon Corporation. She was a member of the former Bethany U.C.C. in York. She was a 1945 graduate of William Penn Sr. High School in York. She was a past Sunday school teacher and Brownie Scout Leader. Doris leaves a son, Steven P. Wilson of York; a daughter, Cheryl J. Toomey of York; four grandchildren; and five great grandchildren. A daughter, Linda K. Wilson had preceded her in death.
