Doris A. Diamond

RED LION-Doris A. (Frietsch) Diamond, 89, passed away Monday, January 16, 2017 at her home. She was the wife of the late Richard J. Diamond. A memorial mass will be held at 4 p.m. on Monday, January 23, 2017 at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 251 E. Main Street in Dallastown, with a visitation from 3-4 p.m. Life Tributes by Olewiler & Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 35 Gotham Place in Red Lion is in charge of the arrangements. Mrs. Diamond was born in Brooklyn, NY, the daughter of the late John W. and Anna (Goetz) Frietsch. She and her husband owned and operated Toll-Tronics in New York. Mrs. Diamond played Bridge at the senior center at the York Township Park, and also enjoyed bowling, and Mah Jongg. Mrs. Diamond leaves two sons, Richard E. Diamond and his wife Laurie of Ocean View, DE, and Robert J. Diamond and his wife Carol of Morrisville, NC; a daughter, Patricia A. Platis and her husband, George of Loganville; 13 grandchildren, and eight great grandchildren. Memorial contributions may be made to National Down’s Syndrome Society, NDSS.org
