Dorcas M. (Gladfelter) Rittenhouse

YORK – Dorcas M. (Gladfelter) Rittenhouse, 86, passed away Wednesday, December 11, 2013 at Manor Care Kingston Court. She was the wife of Walter B. Rittenhouse to whom she was married for 68 years on October 24, 2013. A celebration of life tribute service will be held at 2:00 PM Saturday, December 14, 2013 at Life Tributes by Olewiler & Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 35 Gotham Place, Red Lion with Rev. Ronald E. Heagy officiating. A viewing will be held from 1-2:00 PM Saturday at the Funeral Home. Burial will be in Freysville Union Cemetery. Born August 10, 1927 in Red Lion a daughter of the late Melvin and Alverta (Winemiller) Gladfelter, she enjoyed traveling with her husband and family. Mrs. Rittenhouse also loved to camp and spend time in the mountains of Cameron County. In addition to her husband, Mrs. Rittenhouse is survived by a daughter, Phyllis L. and husband Frank W. Flemmens of Red Lion; a grandson, Bradley and wife Mollie Crump; a step grandson, David Flemmens; four great grandchildren, Benjamin, William, Rebecca, and Samuel; three step great grandchildren; and a sister, Janet Stine of Red Lion.
