Dorcas C. (Leibhart) Pickel

RED LION – Dorcas C. (Leibhart) Pickel, 95, passed away Saturday, May 9, 2015 at Memorial Hospital. She was the wife of the late Ross C. Pickel. A celebration of life tribute service will be held at 2:00 PM Wednesday, May 13, 2015 at Life Tributes by Olewiler & Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 35 Gotham Place, Red Lion with Rev. Kathy Harvey Nelson officiating. Viewings will be held from 6-8:00 PM Tuesday and 1-2:00 PM Wednesday at the Funeral Home. Order of Eastern Star rites will be provided by Rainbow Chapter 517, prior to the tribute service. Burial will be in Susquehanna Memorial Gardens. Born December 10, 1919 in Wrightsville, a daughter of the late Oscar R. and Emma R. (Leber) Leibhart, she retired from Danskin, Inc., after 16 years of service. Mrs. Pickel was a member of Order of Eastern Star, Rainbow Chapter, Sychar Shrine 36, and White Shrine of Jerusalem in York. She was also a member of Craley United Methodist Church. Mrs. Pickel is survived by two daughters, Nancy L. and husband Kenneth Hake and Gloria A. Hershey both of Red Lion; four grandchildren, Bradley, Dayne, Travis, and Christopher D. ; nine great-grandchildren, Stewart, Dwayne, Jason, Derek, Alicia, Courtney, Tiffany, Jazman and Christopher R. ; four great-great grandchildren, Braidyn, McKahla, Liam, and Lukis; and a twin brother, Donald S. Leibhart of Wrightsville. She was preceded in death by two grandsons, Jeffrey and Gregory Hake; a son in law, Charles Hershey; two sisters; and two brothers.
