Dorcas C. Knarr

YORK--Dorcas C. (Webb) Knarr, 91, passed away Tuesday, November 7, 2023 at SpiriTrust Lutheran—The Village at Kelly Drive. She was the wife of the late Rev. George R. Knarr.

A Celebration of Life Service will be 11:00AM, Friday November 10, 2023 at St. John Lutheran Church, 28 N. Third Street, Mt. Wolf. Officiating the service will be her pastor, the Rev. Jason Northridge. Burial will be held in Susquehanna Memorial Gardens at the convenience of the family. Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 1551 Kenneth Rd, York is in charge of arrangements.

Born August 05, 1932 in York, she was the daughter of the late J. Lawrence and Edith L. (Nell) Webb. Mrs. Knarr was a 1950 graduate of West York High School.

She was employed for many years as an administrative secretary at SpiriTrust Lutheran—Kelly Drive.

A member of St. John Lutheran Church in Mt. Wolf and York Women of the Evangelical Lutheran Church of America, she also enjoyed sewing and solving crossword puzzles. She was very active at SpiriTrust Lutheran, which included card games with her friends. Mrs. Knarr and her husband loved traveling, together they visited Europe, Canada, Bermuda and the Bahamas.

Mrs. Knarr is survived by her daughter, Pamela L. McGuigan and husband, Michael of Mt. Wolf; one granddaughter, Shelby McGuigan of Chestertown, MD and her half-brother, Kevin M. Webb of York.
