Donna M. 'Suz' (Smith) Misavage

MILTON - Donna M. “Suz” (Smith) Misavage, of Rolling Ridge Drive, died Sunday, June 22, 2014 at her residence. She was born on June 13, 1944 in New Berlin and was the daughter of the late Irvin E. and Florence (Knouse) Smith. Suz was married to the late Richard “Gus” Misavage for 25 years until his death in 1991. She was a graduate of Mifflinburg High School, class 1962 where she arranged many class reunions. Suz also graduated from Thompson Institute of Technology in Harrisburg. Suz retired from American Home Foods, Milton as a supervisor in the data entry department after 35 years of service. Suz was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Milton where she served as a Sunday school teacher for 12 years, the Alter Guild as head chairman of the flower committee, church council, an usher and a communion server. She also was a member of the Woman’s Club, Milton and Wynding Brook Golf Course. She supported the American Legion Post #71 baseball team with an annual baseball award in her late husband’s name. She enjoyed bowling for many years at Milton Lanes with the A.H.F. team, volunteering for the Red Cross, playing golf, attending Penn State football games, shopping, playing cards and having lunch with her friends. Suz is survived by one son and daughter-in-law; Brett and Jennifer Misavage of Danville, one granddaughter; Kala Nicole Misavage of Hawaii, two brothers; Jay and Dale Smith and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Suz was preceded in death by two brothers; Franklin and Marvin Smith and her companion of 20 years; Richard H. Fry. Memorial contributions may be made to Trinity Lutheran Church, 100 Mahoning Street, Milton, PA 17847, Evangelical Community Hospital Heart Unit, One Hospital Drive, Lewisburg PA 17837 or to Williamsport Regional Medical Center Heart Unit, 777 Rural Ave., Williamsport, PA 17701 A gathering of friends and family will be held 4:00 – 5:00 p.m., Wednesday, June 25 2014 at Trinity Lutheran Church, Milton followed by a memorial service at 5:00p.m. with the Reverend Cheryl Berner officiating.
