Donna M. (Fairfax) Johnson

WILLIAMSPORT - Donna M. (Fairfax) Johnson, 70, died Sunday, March 08, 2015 at The Gatehouse, Williamsport. She was born on September 26, 1944 in Williamsport and was the daughter of the late Emerson R. and Mabel B. (Lewis) Fairfax. On September 02, 1967 Donna married Silas Johnson, Jr., who survives and they celebrated 47 years of marriage together. Donna was a member of Shiloh Baptist Church, Williamsport. She worked for the University of Rochester, New York for a while at the Hickey Freeman cafeteria as a cashier. In addition to raising her own children, she enjoyed babysitting other children in the community, watching Martin everyday on tv, spending time with her dog “Casper” and repairing her own jewelry. In addition to her husband Silas, Donna is survived by two sons and one daughter-in-law; Silas Darnell and Taleisha Johnson of Dallas, Georgia and Jeremy Lamont Johnson of Williamsport, two daughters; Lubrianna Bradham and Sharell Lynn Johnson both of Williamsport, 19 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren, two brothers and one sister-in-law; Emerson Raimund Fairfax, Jr. and Eugene Franklin and Pam Fairfax all of Williamsport and two sisters; Margaret Ann Fairfax of Williamsport and Lorraine Bernice Hobson of Rochester, New York. In addition to her parents, Donna was preceded in death by one infant brother. A public viewing will be held 6:00 – 8:00p.m., Friday, March 13, 2015 at the Allen & Redmond Funeral Home, 331 Elmira Street and again on Saturday, March 14, 2015 from 9:00 – 10:00a.m. at the Shiloh Baptist Church, 433 Walnut Street, Williamsport, PA 17701, followed by the funeral at 10:00a.m. with the Reverend Joseph Walker officiating. Burial will follow in Green Lawn Memorial Park, Montgomery.
