Donna H. (Hartzell) Strausser

Felton—Donna H. (Hartzell) Strausser, 77, was called to her Heavenly Home Monday, March 14, 2016 at York Hospital. She was the wife of William A. Strausser to whom she was married for 56 years. A Celebration of Life Service will be 2 PM, Monday, March 21, 2016 at Life Tributes by Olewiler & Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 35 Gotham Place, Red Lion with her pastor, the Rev. James Levkulich officiating. A viewing will be held from 1-2 PM, at the funeral home. Burial will be held in Trinity Cemetery. Born June 11, 1938 in Carlisle, she was a daughter of the late Robert L. and Ethel (Rife) Hartzell. She was employed as a secretary at Red Lion High School and later at the York County School of Technology where she retired from in 2000. A member of Windsor Assembly of God and the Susquehanna Senior Center, she also loved traveling with her husband, was a great cook and enjoyed being with her family and friends. In addition to her husband, Mrs. Strausser is also survived by one daughter, Kimberly S. Strausser-Schmuck and her husband, Brady of Felton; one son, David W. Strausser, MD of the Woodlands, TX; 4 grandchildren, 1 great grandchild and nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by one sister, Revenda Alexander.
