Donald S. Knox

ETTERS- Donald S. "Harry" Knox, 82, died Friday, February 29, 2008 at Elmcroft Assisted Living, Dillsburg. A Memorial Service will be 7:00 P. M. Thursday, March 13, 2008 at the First Church of the Nazarene, 617 Sixteenth St. & Brandt Ave., New Cumberland, with the Rev. Dawn Spangler officiating. Beaver Urich Funeral Home, Inc., 305 West Front St., Lewisberry is in charge of the arrangements. Don was born in Harrisburg on June 13, 1925, a son of the late William R. and Grace A. (Singer) Knox. He was a US Army veteran and served in WWII. Don was employed with Motor Freight Express, where he retired. Don was an active member of the VFW James A. Danner Post 537, the American Legion Guy E. Shelley, JR. Post 974 and the Goldsboro Fire Co. & Club. He also played in the West Shore Pool League for many years. Don is survived by a brother William Knox of Georgia; a sister, Jeanne Dobbs of Arizona, a son, William C. Knox and a daughter, Cindy Lee Knox, both of Lewisberry; and several grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by a sister, Lois Emma Rubert and a son, Robert M. Knox. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, 1500 N 2nd St., Harrisburg, PA 17102.
