Donald M. Stambaugh

YORK- Donald M. Stambaugh, 89, died Sunday, November 11, 2012 at York Hospital. He was the husband of the late Leola M. (Stitt) Stambaugh. Burial will be private in St. Jacobs Union Cemetery in York New Salem. Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 1551 Kenneth Rd. in York is in charge of the arrangements. Mr. Stambaugh was born in Bair Station on March 18, 1923. He retired from York International in 1985 after 44 years of service. Mr. Stambaugh was a member of St. Jacobs Lutheran Church in York New Salem. He was a thoroughbred race horse fan and enjoyed playing cards and travelling. He was a US Army veteran who served in the European Theater in WWII. Mr. Stambaugh leaves a son, James M. Stambaugh and his wife Gloria of York; a granddaughter, Kristi Brock and her husband Lance; and a great granddaughter, Marley. He was preceded in death by his brother, Robert P. Beal.
