Donald E. Lehr

YORK- Donald E. Lehr, 80, died on Friday, February 7, 2025 at UPMC Memorial Hospital. He was the wife of Karen S. (Eyler) Lehr to whom he was married 40 years.

A celebration of life tribute service will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, February 13, 2025 at Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 1551 Kenneth Rd., York with Pastor Mark Williams officiating. A viewing will be from 10-11 a.m. prior to the service. Burial will be in Mt. Rose Cemetery.

Born on May 23, 1944 in York, he was a son of the late Martin L. and Arlene A. (Gross) Lehr. Donald was a truck driver for Quaker City Paper for 10 years.

Mr. Lehr was a member of the 12th Ward Democratic Club. In his spare time, he enjoyed watching NASCAR and loved playing his hand-held poker game.

Along with his wife, Karen, Donald is survived by three daughters, Kimberly Ann Allen and her husband, Bob of Moraine, OH, Donna Lynn Miller and her husband, Dave of Camp Hill and Mary Arlene Jackson and her husband, Mike of Manchester; two step daughters, Stacie Ebersole of York and Jerri King and her husband, Skip of Dover; six grandchildren, Jerry, Cody, Alicia, Matthew, Kayla and Nikki; five great grandchildren; two brothers, Martin Lehr, Jr. and his wife, Kathy of York and George Lehr and his wife, Carletta of York; two sisters, Jane Eveler and her husband, Bob of Brogue and Brenda Bucher and her husband, Bill of Dover. He was preceded in death by his brother, Vincent Lehr; and two sisters, Vickie Lenker and Judy Becker.
