Donald L. Quiggle

RENOVO - Donald L. Quiggle, age 86, of Clemmons, N. Carolina, died at the Bermuda Commons in Advance on Wednesday, February 22, 2012. He was born In Renovo on April 6, 1925, a son of the late Frank and Mary (Brown) Quiggle. Don was a retired postal worker for the U.S. Postal Service, was an avid golfer, fisherman, he enjoyed the outdoors and was a dedicated H.A.M. radio operator who spoke to people all over the world. He proudly served his country in the merchant Marines during WWII and again in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He is survived by his wife of 61 years who he married on October 27, 1950 Janice (Bluhm) Quiggle, and two sons: Steven A. (Jenny) Quiggle and Michael (Terri) Quiggle both of Clemmons, N. Carolina. Also surviving are six grandchildren and three great grandchildren , a brother: Richard Quiggle of Erie, Pa. and special cousins: Bill and Mary Arnold of Hammersley Fork. Funeral services will be held at the Emmanuel Assembly of God Church in Hammersley Fork at Noon Monday, February 27th with Pastor Charles LaFort officiating. Friends will be received one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow in Summerson Cemetery in Leidy Township. Military services will be conducted by the Marine Corps League at the church at the conclusion of the service. Memorial contributions can be made to Community Nursing, P.O.
