Donald J. Miller

YORK - Donald J. \"Wheezer\" Miller, 87, of York died Monday, October 11, 2010 at his residence. He was the loving husband of Frances M. Miller. The couple celebrated their 26th wedding anniversary on August 4th. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, October 15, 2010 at St. Joseph\'s Catholic Church, 251 E. Main Street in Dallastown with a viewing from 10-11 a.m. at the church. Burial will be in Mt. Rose Cemetery following the service, with full military honors by Dallastown American Legion. Father James Kurtz, OFM. Cap will be officiating the service. Life Tributes by Olewiler and Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc, 35 Gotham Place in Red Lion is in charge of arrangements. Mr. Miller was born in York on May 25, 1923, a son of the late Herman L. and Marie (Pfeiffer) Miller. He retired from Garrod Hydraulics where he worked as a sales person. Mr. Miller was a member of St. Joseph\'s Catholic Church in Dallastown, The Knights of St. Paul, Hawk\'s Gunning Club, Dallastown American Legion Post 605, and Viking Club. He was also a United States Navy veteran who served in WWII. Mr. Miller leaves a daughter, Jo Carol Finnegan and husband James of BelAir, MD; a sister, Dolores Miller Sanders and husband Roy of York; and numerous nieces and nephews.
