YORK - Donald G. Leiphart, 81, passed away on Monday, February 1, 2021 at York Hospital. Donald was the husband of Elaine C. (Kapp) Leiphart. The couple was wed on October 22, 1960. A public visitation will be held on Friday, February 5, 2021 from 10:00AM – 11:00AM at the Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory Inc. 1551 Kenneth Road, York with a private service to follow. All PA Department of Health COVID-19 gathering restrictions will be observed. Born in York on August 27, 1939, Don was the son of the late Raymond and Elvier (Kohler) Leiphart Sr. Mr. Leiphart retired after 35 years working at Met-Ed. Don was a long-time member at the Stillmeadow Church of the Nazarene. Left to cherish his memory are his wife Elaine of 60 years; son Jeff Leiphart and his wife, Debbie of York; daughter Jennifer Rodgers and her husband, Tim of York; three grandchildren, Amy Kerstetter and her husband, Michael of Lancaster, Victoria Medina and her husband, Abner of York, Ciara Rodgers of Arkansas; two great-grandchildren, Mia Medina and Olivia Kerstetter; sisters Eva Crawford and Norma Doll.
