Donald E. Geist

RED LION – Donald E. Geist, 87, passed away Saturday, March 14, 2015 at Manor Care South. He was the husband of the late Myrtus N. (Nace) Geist. A graveside service will be held at 10:00 AM Wednesday, March 18, 2015 in the US Veterans section of Susquehanna Memorial Gardens with Rev. David D. Tietje officiating. Friends and family will meet at 9:45 AM at the entrance of the cemetery. Life Tributes by Olewiler & Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 35 Gotham Place, Red Lion is in charge of arrangements. Born July 7, 1927 in York a son of the late Charles and Dorothy (Schiding) Geist, he retired from the former Olin Corp. Flinchbaugh Division. He had also previously worked at Danskin Inc. Donald was a US Army veteran of WWII. Mr. Geist is survived by three daughters, Barbara A. and husband Jan Kehr of Felton, Kathy S. Geist of Red Lion, and Joni J. and husband Karl Oswald of New Park, PA; a grandson, Keith A. and wife Beth Kehr; a great granddaughter, Emma Kehr; a brother, Richard of York; and a sister, Norma of Dillsburg. He was preceded in death by a brother, Robert; and a sister, Faye.
