Donald E. 'Donnie' Spiller

MILTON - Donald E. “Donnie” Spiller, 60, died Friday, August 02, 2013 at The Gatehouse, Williamsport. He was born in Lewisburg on December 19, 1952 and is the son of Donald Spiller and Frances H. (Harmon) Spiller. Donnie was a graduate of Milton High School class of 1970. After High School he went on to attend Temple University and graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration in 1974. Donnie worked for DuPont Manufacturing, Wilkes-Berre, then in 1993 he started his career in real estate. For the past 20 years Donnie worked for Villages Reality, Lewisburg as a licensed real estate agent. He was a member of St. Paul A.M.E. Church, Milton where he served as a faithful member as secretary/treasurer, steward, trustee and usher. Donnie was also a member of the Milton Zoning board, serving as secretary, Central Susquehanna Valley Board of Realtors where he served three terms as president, the PA Association of Realtors and the National Association of Realtors. In high school Donnie excelled in many sports including; football, track and field, basketball and the community softball league and will always be remembered for his athletic abilities. In addition to his parents, Donnie is survived by one sister; Elizabeth Cash of Milton, three nieces; Dawn Spiller, Miriam Cash and Krystal Taylor, one nephew; Umar Cash, one devoted aunt; Helen Williams, three uncles; John Spiller, Clarence Spiller and Carl E. Lang and numerous cousins and friends. Donnie was preceded in death by his paternal and maternal grandparents, one brother; Douglas E. Spiller and one aunt; Phyllis Chappelle. A public viewing will be held 7:00-9:00 p.m., Tuesday, August 06, 2013 at The Dale E. Ranck Funeral Service, 125 N. Front Street, Milton, and then again 1:00-2:00 p.m., Wednesday, August 07, 2013 at the funeral home followed by the funeral at 2:00p.m. with the Reverend Bertha Morrison officiating. Burial will follow at Harmony Cemetery, Milton. Memorial contributions can be made to the American Cancer Society, 1948 E.
